The most noble greetings to all, I am Abdulnur Musa Mohammed, the Executive Director of the Seeds of Peace Center. The idea of the organization goes back to two reasons; In 2018, I came to Uganda for the first time seeking asylum. Due to the presence of my acquaintances in the Kiryandongo camp, my journey there stopped. I stayed there for about three weeks, but unfortunately, I failed to find an opportunity to register there because, at that time, Sudanese were only registered in the capital, Kampala. There, the journey of suffering began, starting with shelter, then the language barrier and cultural differences. This is what I considered a fundamental reason that prompted me to find means through which I could alleviate the suffering of others who come after me, especially with the current influx of refugees. The second reason is that while I was in Kampala, I got to know a very active young man named Taidor Koryom, who is originally from South Sudan. He was working as a teacher in an English language institute and loved volunteer work. Therefore, a friendship developed between us. Due to my knowledge of the educational situation in the South Sudan, after fruitful discussions, we thought of asking the owner of the institute to host us in some classes so that we could help some students whose circumstances made it difficult to enroll them in classes so that they could catch up with their colleagues in the secondary school exams in South Sudan. We succeeded in doing so, which led to attracting many students and the matter developed to include all the different educational levels. And in 2023 it officially registered as an international school that teaches the South Sudanese curriculum. Due to the above mentioned reasons, in addition to the humanitarian disasters resulting from the war currently taking place in Sudan, that is why I thought about how to establish this Organization through which we could contribute to helping others. Therefore, I and Barcha Kuku Ibrahim, a lady who is so passionate about helping others, founded Seeds of Peace Center for Community Building and Sustainable Development with the aims to promoteing culture of peace, empower communities, and support sustainable development efforts through educational, social, economic programs and initiatives. The organisation seeks to instil values of tolerance and coexistence and develop the capacities of individuals, particularly youth and women
